This guide is intended to provide anyone interested in the wonderful geological world of the Madonie Mountains with a rapidly and easily readable instrument.
The guide is divided into two parts: the first part contains an essential description of the Madonie mountains' environment (stratigrafy, tectonics, paleontological aspects), the second part presents a list of the main sites of geological interest in the Madonie park or in adjoining areas that are geologically related. Each area has its own card, with its location and the most important geological information regarding the site, plus some logistic considerations.
The guide, richly illustrated, has a glossary of geological terms allowing also non-expert readers to understand it.
